Bodhan: An Online Course on Statutory Compliances, Finance, Accounts, and Grant Management for NGOs.
The not-for-profit sector today faces an increased burden of statutory compliance with the regulatory landscape becoming more challenging and demanding for NGOs in the country. Most compliances are now online and faceless. Small and medium-sized NGOs face maximum heat in coping up with this dynamic situation. These organizations are also the ones with fragile institutional standing despite the great work they do on the ground. Such organizations urgently require handholding support on compliances as evidenced by audit findings and interactions, signaling strong latent demand for capacity building of key NGO staff on issues around statutory compliances, Finance, Accounts, and Grant Management.
THE BODHAN INITIATIVE
Saathi Development which is an ecosystem service provider in the development sector has conceptualized a short course on Statutory Compliances, Finance, Accounts, and Grant Management for NGOs comprising nine sessions of two hours each spread over nine weeks.

‘Finance for Non-Finance Staff and Professionals of NGOs’
Saathi Development Services is an ecosystem service provider in the development sector; we have been successfully conducting an online course called Bodhan on Statutory Compliances, Finance, Accounts, and Grant Management for finance staff and chief functionary of NGOs comprising nine sessions of two hours each spread over nine weeks.
At Saathi, we consider it imperative that the various facets of Finance and Accounts must also be fully understood and followed by non-finance/program staff. Saathi also feels that education on finance and accounts aspects of an organization, if provided to program staff, would reduce tension and promote healthy interface between the finance and program staff greatly helping the organization in its operations and achievement of goals.
Under the Bodhan initiative, Saathi now introduces an online course called ‘Finance for Non-Finance staff’ to achieve the above stated objectives comprising of ten sessions.
